Stacy Bias is Stacy Bias is a 33 year old activist, educator and entrepreneur from Portland, Oregon.
Stacy is the founder and lead organizer of FatGirl Speaks, a celebration of size, self and sexuality. FatGirl Speaks is a bi-annual conference and performance held in Portland, Oregon.
Stacy also organizes/has organized several smaller sister events - Cupcake (a fat-friendly dance party), the FatGirl Frock Swap (clothing exchange), ChunkyDunk PDX (a fat-friendly swim for EveryBODY, RadFatties.Com (a radical plus-sized t-shirt store) and is the proud administrator of BelliesAreBeautiful.Com (a body-positive online image gallery.)
Stacy has given workshops at Siren Nation (women’s music festival) and NOLOSE (national organization for lesbians of size), Pennsylvania State University and has been invited to speak this year at Evergreen State College.
