Submit a non-fiction, first person, autobiographical story, video, photograph, audio file or visual representation of artwork you’ve created that involves sharing a personal truth about living in the world as a person of size.
We welcome childhood stories, stories of celebration, stories of trial and tribulation, stories of love, loss, self-exploration, empowerment, and everything else that falls into the full, rich tapestry of your life.
Tell your friends about us! Spread the word! If your friends aren’t writers, then perhaps you can come up with a collaborative piece, or you can interview them and transcribe. We want to hear stories from EVERYONE.
Put links to us on your blogs, websites, social networking pages and in your newsletters and emails to friends! Help us create a truly diverse and powerful historical archive of the lives of people of size!
Donate! We are not a non-profit at this time, though that option is being considered. However, we are not a FOR-profit either. We wish to travel, audio and video-record people telling their stories, and make that available here at The Fat History Project! At this time, we have already spent more than $13,000. We could use some help. ;)
